Plastic Wrapping Around My Plant's Soil

There is plastic wrapping around the grower pot and covering the soil of plants shipped by Costa Farms.

The plastic wrapping around the grower pot and soil was used to help keep the soil in place during shipping. Plants can get jostled in transit, so we wrap plastic around the base of the grower pot and across the soil surface to help contain any loose soil.

When your plant arrives, you’ll want to remove all of the plastic wrapping. We recommend doing this over paper towels or a sink, as some soil may spill during unwrapping.

If your plant was shipped with a decorative pot, you’ll need to lift out the grower pot to see where the plastic wrap is secured. Once all plastic is removed, simply place the grower pot (with the plant still inside it) back into the decorative pot.
