In most homes these plants every 5 to 7 days during the spring and summer growing seasons and every 7 to 10 days in the slower winter months for plants in the 10-inch pot, every 5 days for the 5-inch pot, and every 3 to 4 days for the 2.5 inch pot . However, always check the soil’s moisture level first—the plant’s needs may vary depending on environmental conditions in the home. Signs Your Plant Needs More Water Pay attention to your plant’s leaves. If they droop or develop brown edges, it’s a sign that the plant needs more frequent watering. Fortunately, this is a water-loving plant, so the biggest risks are forgetting to water or leaving excess water sitting in the pot. Light Requirements This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves, but ensure it gets enough light to support healthy growth. Fertilization Tips Fertilize your plant in spring and summer using a time-release fertilizer specifically designed for houseplants.
